ZTE on an FX

I am a born commuter. I don’t have a license and there’s little incentive for me to really learn how to drive. Instead, I am at ease (unlike many) using public transport… the MRT/LRT, FXs, and tricycles are my favorites.

One thing I’ve grown accustomed to in my years of commuting is the fact that most public transport have their radio tuned in to a certain FM station. Those of you who have tried riding a jeep or a bus would probably recognize the tagline: kelangan pa bang i-memorize yan? It’s a staple among rides plying the EDSA route, and especially on FXs that go from PGH to Quezon City. As a commuter on a budget, there is no choice, but to be dragged down the eternal abyss of ka-jologs-an that this radio station represents.

Thus, I was expecting another afternoon of lousy pop music and corny jokes from really annoying DJs when I boarded an FX the other day from Philcoa. The ride would take about 2 hours, since it was quite late in the day and traffic had already built up. No worries, I was ready for the worst.

Argh! I just found out recently that the shirt I bought a few months ago for 550 pesos is now on sale and is priced at 275! That’s a huge 50 percent discount for those who will buy the shirt today! Argh!

 

Hello world!

Hello world, today I start my online life!

I’ve always wanted my own blog. Now, finally, I have one! Yey! Previously, my online existence was limited to e-mailing, googling, internet research, and surfing for porn. Surely, my web personality deserves more. Hence, here I am, trying to shoo away the ghost of my techno-incompetence, writing my very first blog entry. Cool!

I am not promising anything in this blog. I’m not going to commit it to any specific content or regularity of updates. Heck, I’m not even promising to maintain it. This blog is borne out of a spontaneous desire to jot down something right here, right now and I’m guessing it will be like that for the rest of this blog’s existence.

Why now? I don’t know. I’ve noticed though that I’ve been checking my email account more than necessary. Sometimes even more often than new mail would arrive. And of course, there’s my present unemployed state. Haha!

So to all those who know me already, those of you who care to know, or those who are just passing by… hello world!
